The sessions are led by skilled practitioners Stefan Cartwright, Erik Huele & Richard Parker who together create an open and supportive environment to explore, play and learn.

Our instrument collection includes African Djembe, Bougarbou and DunDun Drums, Hang, Halo, Tongue Drum, Tibetan Bowls, Shruti Box, Darbuka, Sansula, Kalimba,  plus many more. If you play an instrument please bring it along.



COST:

Fee including the course, accommodation if applicable, refreshments and delicious home-cooked meals:

Residential single: £260; Shared room: £232.
Non-residential: £194 (Course Fee);  Camping: £194 (Course Fee) PLUS £8.50pppn with breakfast or £5pppn without breakfast.

PRACTICAL DETAILS:

Course begins with registration 4-6pm Friday and ends at 4pm on Sunday.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a blanket and cushion if possible.

Hawkwood caters for all dietary requirements, let them know when booking.



VENUE:

The college is set in 42 acres of beautiful gardens, woods and fields, with its own spring water, and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

TUTORS:

Stefan Cartwright is a musician and Yoga teacher whose primary instrument is the voice. His background includes performing and recording improvised music, instrument development and singing Indian Raga. Tel. 01453 767061

Erik Huele is a pianist-composer who also leads choirs and teaches Qi-Gong in his native Holland. He has a background in jazz and impressionist music and has recently recorded an album of Erik Satie compositions.

Richard Parker is a community facilitator who leads regular Drum Circles, Yoga classes and Camps as well as working within the corporate, education, health, special needs, youth & festival sectors providing team-building, well-being and educational events.
