DIDGERIDOO WORKSHOPS

Didge_Main

Didge 2Didge 3The indigenous Australian Yidaki or Didgeridoo is possibly one of the oldest wind instruments in the world. Every didgeridoo is unique unto itself in shape, tone and character. A magnificent feature of playing the didgeridoo is the sounds made using your voice, tongue, cheeks and lips to create calls, hoots, screams, grunts and other unique noises perfectly mimicking the sounds of birds, animals and nature. Using the technique of Circular Breathing, you can keep the noises flowing continuously.

The didgeridoo is traditionally used by the Aboriginal people of Australia in sacred ceremonies, story telling, musical pleasure and healing. The didge, when played, can create a stress free and relaxing meditative state for both the player and the listener.
